Mountain Activities Course Snowdonia National Park July 2010
From 16th to 18th of July 2010 Cadets from the Squadron joined with Cadets from 494 (Stansted Airport) Squadron and 1096 (Bishops Stortford) Squadron for a Mountain Activities Course in the Snowdonia National Park.
For most Cadets this was their first experience of the mountains and on Day 1 an experienced staff team led them on 9 hour walk up the largest mountain in England and Wales towering at 1085 metres.
The weather on Day 2 left a little to be desired. It is certainly true that Snowdonia is the wettest part of the UK. A small team from 295 Sqn however ventured out for a short walk on Sunday before retiring for some kit shopping, tea and cakes.
We will be undertaking our next Mountain Course in the Peak District later this year. Please find some photos below and a video created by Cadet Ben Graves.
