Kayaking in the River Chelmer June 2010

On 23rd June and just after England’s only win of the World Cup against Slovakia a small team of Cadets along with Flt Lt Moakes and Sgt Heaysman went kayaking in the River Chelmer.

An Essex Wing team of instructors put 6 Cadets and 2 Staff through their paces on a basic paddling course using the shiny new Wing Adventure Training kit. A few people ended up in the surprisingly cold Chelmsford water… the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly finishing off with a game of water polo (in kayaks!).
