From 4th to 6th November 2011 Cadets from Witham and Stansted travelled to the Peak District for a weekend of training on the mountains!
16 Cadets spent the weekend based at Totley Camp in Sheffield and walking around the Edale area with trips onto Mam Tor and Kinder Scout. Training concentrated on developing navigation skills to help Cadets prepare for their Duke of Edinburgh Award, gain experience of hillwalking and help them pass their Leading Classification exam in Basic Navigation.
The weather was fantastic and a good time was had by all!
